Welcome to Curb. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Curb mobile application ("App") and related services provided by Curb ("we," "our," or "us"). By using our App, you agree to these Terms.

Important Medical Disclaimer: Curb is designed to provide nutrition education and habit support. It is NOT a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult your healthcare provider before making any dietary changes during pregnancy.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, accessing, or using Curb, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use our App.

2. Description of Service

Curb is a mobile application designed to help pregnant women reduce sugar intake through:

Personalized, trimester-aware goal setting
Healthy food swap suggestions
AI-powered coaching and support
Progress tracking and craving management tools
Partner support features

Curb is not a medical device or healthcare provider.

The information provided is for educational purposes only
Our suggestions are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease
Always consult your doctor, midwife, or healthcare provider about dietary changes during pregnancy
If you have gestational diabetes or other health conditions, follow your healthcare provider's guidance
In case of a medical emergency, contact emergency services immediately

4. Account Registration

To use certain features, you may need to create an account. You agree to:

Provide accurate and complete information
Maintain the security of your account credentials
Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

5. Subscriptions and Payments

Curb offers subscription-based premium features:

Billing: Subscriptions are billed through Apple's App Store via RevenueCat
Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
Cancellation: You can cancel your subscription through your Apple ID account settings
Refunds: Refund requests are handled by Apple according to their refund policy

6. User Content

You may submit content through the App, including chat messages and personal data. You retain ownership of your content but grant us a license to use it to provide and improve our services.

You agree not to submit content that:

Is unlawful, harmful, or offensive
Infringes on others' intellectual property rights
Contains malware or harmful code
Misrepresents your identity

7. AI Coaching Feature

Our AI coaching feature is powered by third-party technology (OpenAI). By using this feature:

You understand AI responses are generated automatically and may not always be accurate
You agree not to rely solely on AI advice for health decisions
You acknowledge that conversations are processed by OpenAI to generate responses
You will not use the AI for emergency medical situations

8. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

Use the App for any unlawful purpose
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality
Reverse engineer or decompile the App
Use the App to harm or exploit others
Share your account with others

9. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of Curb—including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, and software—are owned by Curb and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our content without permission.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

Curb is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
We are not responsible for any health outcomes resulting from use of the App
Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the past 12 months

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Curb, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to Curb at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason. Upon termination, your right to use the App will immediately cease.

You may delete your account at any time through the App settings. Upon account deletion, we will delete your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting a notice in the App. Your continued use of Curb after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of the applicable jurisdiction.
